Clear, honest fees.
Cost should never be a mystery. Here's what sessions cost and how payment works. These are starting figures that may be adjusted, so please ask if you have any questions.
A note on these figures. These are Johann's current rates. They keep counselling accessible while he completes the next stage of his clinical credentialing, and they may be adjusted over time, so please confirm current fees when you reach out.
Insurance and coverage
Johann is currently completing the next stage of his clinical credentialing. Until he holds the CCC designation through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and the RCC designation through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), sessions are not yet eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefit plans. Both designations are expected later this year or early next year, and once either is in place, sessions can be billed toward many extended health plans.
In the meantime, sessions may still be covered through other programs. Clients can often claim counselling through the Autism Funding Unit, Community Living BC, and other applicable funding programs. Receipts are provided for every session so you can submit wherever you are eligible. If you are unsure whether a program applies to you, please ask, and we will help you sort out the details.
Sliding scale
Cost should not be the only thing standing between you and support. While Johann completes his CCC and RCC credentialing, a limited number of sliding-scale spots are available. This option will be in place until that transition is complete, expected later this year or early next year. If fees are a barrier, please ask, and we will do our best to find something workable.
Payment
Payment is accepted by e-transfer or credit card, and is due at the time of each session.
Cancellations
Life happens, and plans change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 48 hours notice so the time can be offered to someone else. Late cancellations may be charged the full session fee.
